PLANT SIZE = 1-1.5ft
CARE INSTRUCTIONS;
These plants have only moderate water requirements and can withstand dry conditions, but light watering will not harm them. Dappled shade seems to be the ideal light concentration for growing Ruscus plants, although partial shade to full shade will be tolerated.
When it comes to Ruscus, this plant has acclimatized to thrive under the deep shade of dense forests or hedgerows. You can place this plant indoors in a spot that gets no more than or 4 hours of indirect sunlight per day.
It berries well most years and, although seen by few visitors, certainly earns its place. Ruscus spreads by underground suckering growth. This can periodically be split and severed from the main plant which often develops a bare centre as it spreads. The seed can readily be grown in a cold frame or in containers.
